Annual. Federal Species of Management Concern, CNPS Endangered and Local Concern - Wetland Plant. Coastal sandy fields and alkaline flats: many locations in Goleta Slough on saline flats, drainages at estuary margins. (Ferren and Rindlaub 1983; Wiskowski 1988; Entrix 1993; Dungan 1995).

Annual. Federal Species of Management Concern, CNPS Endangered and Local Concern - Wetland Plant, regionally rare. Saltmarshes, vernal pools, wet alkaline areas; found on saline flats in impounded area west of Tecolotito Creek.
