Dusky-footed Wood Rat Neotoma fuscipes
Locally rare. Formerly common in the oak community on the north-facing campus bluffs, now very uncommon. An important community component that sustained hawks and owls that formerly used the site.

Grey Fox Nycticorax nycticorax
Locally rare. Extirpated below the chaparral line in mid-1980s as a result of the red fox expansion from the south. Its reoccupation could only occur with the allowed presence of coyotes combined with the real eradication of the red fox. |
